The Logo of the Apostles Filipino Catholic Community (AFCC)
The logo of the Apostles Filipino Catholic Community (AFCC) is depicted with a tri-colored cross of BLUE, RED and YELLOW on a WHITE field, which are the colors of the Philippine National Flag, giving a nationalistic undertone.
The CROSS is the symbol of Christ's obedience to the Father and the symbol of our Salvation. According to St. Paul, "though he was in the form of God, [Jesus] did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross" (Phil 2:6-8)
The white DOVE with the red tongue of fire symbolized the Holy Spirit Who animated the first Christian community in Antioch on the day of Pentecost; and is animating our community in Rome.
The red Letters AFCC on the four flanks of the cross is the initials of the community.
The arched name of the community is written above. The ARCH symbolizes Heaven.
Mr. Bernard Perez conceptualized and designed this logo in 2007.
